I tested it with Win 7 Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 4b7ce45c2384fdd65c17ab18036899cd76577254 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2018-07-14_01:26:50 Locale: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group threaded LOs check boxes it looked like MS specifies it: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/uxguide/ctrl-check-boxes Maybe this happens with older versions of Win, but that aren't supported anymore? IMHO, I think it's right to set it to WORKSFORME

@Mike: you need to test the *Classic* visual style, as stated in OP’s screenshot and this bug’s description.
I'm sorry for not being accurate enough. :-( I didn't know that classic theme/mode was still available in Win 7 via 'Personalize' menu. The issue seems fixed though. I tested classic theme with: Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: 715fcaff01ed048c52c69264a7a0fb773dd57b32 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2018-07-21_02:21:27 Locale: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group threaded I magnified it and made a screenshot and -cast. They're attached. Skipped Win 8 and 10, b/c there are only unofficial hacks, that make them more or less resemble classic theme. @Adolfo: It would be nice, if you just have a look at this to see if it's a WORKSFORME. :-)
