since I updated to the latest version, I encounter the following behavior:

while typing text in libre office writer, the application crashes instantly. No error message or anything, the window of writer just disappears. Document recovery never works afterwards.
It occurs to me with all documents, the one I'm working on right now is only 4 pages, no Images. Mainly section headers and text.

My current workaround is to type the text in notepad, then copy paste to libreoffice, like this the crash does not occur. So Idon't think it is an out of memory problem or something like that.

could be related to bug: 82142, but I have no spanish language correction on.
also related to bug 64922: this description is very similar to what I encounter.

I arleady tried to turn off the spellchecker, is there something more I can try?

Do you have any LO specific extensions?

For the test, could you rename your LO directory profile and give a new try?

I renamed the "user" directory in AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\ and tried again. The effect is the same. Also I'm not aware of any extensions, I think I'm using stock libreoffice.

Do you reproduce this on a brand new file?
Could you attach a file + step by step process to reproduce this? (keep in mind that attachments are automatically made public, so remove any private/confidential part).

Did you download from official website? (http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/)
For the test too, could you give a try to 4.3.1RC1 (see http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/)?

It seems to related to one of our techdocs templates. Is there a way to check the documents for correctness? I will try to put something together.

I have a document, based on one of our templates, where I can reproduce the problem. Strange thing is, as soon as I remove the company logo from the header, the problem disappears.

I'm checking if I can upload the document with logos.

I put it through the online validator and there are some errors (see below). How can it be that lo saves a document in a non-conformant state?

A colleague pointed out that may the issue is also related to this bug:

we have some problem with the logo in the header, it seems whenever there is a change in the template, then additional images are put on top of the existing one.

In the documents I have problems with, there is a company logo in the header but when you look closer at this logo, there are like 6 or 7 identical images on top of each other.

Now I also tried with the RC pointed out earlier, but the problem persists.

I think I can resolve the issue by deleting the unneeded images, but when doing this libreoffice freezes sometimes.

I just checked with libreoffice 4.3.1.2. The bug seems to be fixed. I could not manage to crash the libreoffice writer with this version.
