Now this is confirmed. Bodhi 2.x (built on Ubuntu 12.04) w/ LibreOffice 4.4 built yesterday. Prioritizing: New Major - for the end user this looks like a loss of data even if it's just that we haven't actually added the ability to read strict MSO format yet. High - as more people start using newer versions of MSO and using "strict" format - we're going to see more and more cases like this. @Markus and VMiklos - you were added because you worked on strict format support - either one of you interested in looking into this?

It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=689742b9b75250fcebf50f0d9b73052d4b10e7e1 MSO finally decided to follow the spec, fdo#83312 The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
Tested with the latest master 4.4 and the 4 OOXML test cases. All of the colors are now preserved. Thanks for all you've done. Beautiful work Markus!
