Description brian.chaff 2014-09-03 19:39:35 UTC
When using tools to manipulate a curved polygon, LibreOffice unexpectedly crashes. This has happened multiple times in one day.
Comment 1 Joel Madero 2014-09-03 20:56:43 UTC
We need much clearer reproducible steps and a test document if at all possible.

Marking as NEEDINFO - once the above is done please mark as UNCONFIRMED.

Joel,

No problem, test file attached.

Steps:
I converted the original powerpoint file online to an ODF drawing
At this point I manipulated each polygon line to represent puzzle piece
lines (see attached file) using the various "Edit Points" toolbar

Software crashes occurred when I would zoom into a polygon area and then
start editing it by either stretching a point, adding a point, or
manipulating the curve.

In order to finish the graphic I've had to manually save after making a
single change. Let me know if there's a fix for this.

Thanks,
Brian

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated yesterday, I don't reproduce this. I also tried with 4.3.0.4 LO Debian package, no crash.
Of course, I just tried some random edit points.

First: could you upgrade to 4.3.1? (it might help)
Secondly: could you give a precise step by step reproduction process?

(please don't answer directly from your emailer but by using this link:

For your information LO 4.3.3 has been released, you can give it a try.

No feedback since more than 6 months, let's put this one as WFM.

Arnaldo: don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you can reproduce this with last LO version (4.4.2) + brand new LO profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)
