It was hard for me to understand how to edit text in an inserted Fontwork Gallery object as the functionality is not present in the fontwork gallery dialog, the right-click menu, or the fontwork toolbar. Eventually after alot of frustration, i got it that i had to double-click on the object in order to modify the text, which i feel is not very intuitive. So i'd like to suggest that a text field be added to the fontwork gallery dialog, so a user can edit the text when inserting the object. I'd also like to suggest that when a user right-clicks on the object, an entry for the fontwork gallery dialog be added to it, as well as an entry titled 'Fontwork Text', which would have the same effect as double-clicking the object.

Agreed -- double-clicking is not intuitive, especially when we have contorted text that doesn't appear like other, editable text objects. Do we document how to edit Fontwork objects (w/a double-click)? I feel like adding just a single entry for Fontwork to the drop-down would be fine, as I personally don't like things getting too cluttered, but feel free to craft your proposal however you like!

So you want the user to open the fontwork dialog, select a style, then after its inserted into the document with as 'fontwork' as text, right-click on it in order to edit the text in it. That doesnt seem logical to me because it simply adds another step to the process.

Two different things. 1) An edit-text icon in the fontwork gallery dialog. 2) A single item for Fontwork in the right-click context menu (only visible when right-clicking on a Fontwork object) Anyhow, that's probably more than enough discussion on this bug w/o any design or code work towards its completion :P

I pulled the text field found in the special (.uno:InsertSymbol) character dialog. I also adjusted some shortcomings in the dimensions and alignments of the dialog which seem to have happened after it was moved to the new dialog form.

In WPS, after there the selection of the style of the wordart, a secondary dialog appears allowing the typing of the text and customizing the font.
