After much frustration I realized that the expression "=SUM(A10,A20,A30)" doesn't work because the function does not work when referring to lines that include zero's. The workaround is to shift the input position down so that you have "=SUM(A11,A21,A31)", etc. This is true for versions 4.3.2.2 and 3.6.6.2 with Mac OSX Maverick.
Please could you attach a sample file with the issue.
Thank you. Here is a sample where the SUM formula works (on the right) but the same formula on the left returns Err:508. If you enter =SUM(a9,a10,a11,a12) on line A14, the error is produced and the command is gone or corrupted. Hi, I did the following test in version 4.3.3.0.0+ under Ubuntu 14.04 64 bits: - put 1 in A1 - propagate in A2 till A30 - in B1 put the formula = sum(A10;A20;A30) The result is 60 as expected. Remark: the default formula separator is the semicolon not the comma. Did you modify this setting or is it a typo ? Best regards. JBF
Hi, JFB: I tried it with semi-colons: same result as with commas. My version of LibreOffice is 4.3.2.2. My computer is a Mac Mini with OSX 10.9.4. I’m willing to give up on this. Perhaps version 4.3.3.0.0.+ on your computer bypasses this problem. Brad Below:Before hitting return. After hitting return: On Sep 28, 2014, at 9:28 PM, bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org wrote:.
