These two queries find "MABs that are not highest":https://bugs.freedesktop.org/buglist.cgi?priority=high&priority=medium&priority=low&priority=lowest&f1=blocked&list_id=458806&o1=anywordssubstr&query_based_on=mab-not-highest&query_format=advanced&bug_status=NEW&v1=44446%2065675%2054157%2060270%2070941%2075025&product=LibreOffice&known_name=mab-not-highest "highest that are not MAB":https://bugs.freedesktop.org/query.cgi?bug_status=NEW&f1=blocked&f2=bug_id&n1=1&n2=1&o1=anywordssubstr&o2=anyexact&priority=highest&product=LibreOffice&query_format=advanced&v1=44446%2065675%2054157%2060270%2070941%2075025&v2=44446%2C65675%2C54157%2C60270%2C70941%2C75025&known_name=highest-not-mab It would be great to consolidate the former issues as per example: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72072#c7 and the latter as per: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71248#c7 regularly (maybe each two weeks). Possibly this can be support with a script/cronjob even. -- migrated from https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/issues/619
If this is cronjobified, its an infrastructure task and can be closed ~forever ... ;)
Just executed one run manually right now.
@Robinson: Can you take care of handling this (or delegate or scriptify this)?
(In reply to Björn Michaelsen from comment #3) > @Robinson: Can you take care of handling this (or delegate or scriptify > this)? The list is now clean as of today. There are enough nuances that it's difficult to really automate the process, however it's not too long of a list, and a good number of these bugs are some of the most important ones (crashes, data loss, etc..), so it's important to pay attention to how we're prioritizing here. Right now it's on my list to be done each month (with an automated email to remind me). I can increase the frequency of that to bi-monthly, if you think it needs it.

Well, the reality currently is: MABs have priority, everything else doesnt, no matter what the "priority" field says. Insofar, this is only making the field match reality to adjust reporter expectations to reality. _If_ the priority field should really mean something itself at some point in time, it would be because we are not using MABs anymore, but "priority: highest" directly. If we do that, we need to watch those that move into "priority: highest" closely (like we do now with MABs) and -- if possible -- disallow filing a new/unconfirmed bug as "highest" to prevent abuse.
