6) enhancement: i think it would visually easier to understand if both automatic/no fill and color picker were shown as buttons, rather than appearing as buttons when you mouse over them. i also think that placing the color picker next to automatic/no fill is a good idea as there is alot of empty/wasted space having those buttons take up the full width of the popup, and it also brings more attention to the color picker tool, as i missed it the first time i opened up the drop down.

No, I disagree with both suggestions, which deviate from the design (https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/attachments/download/138/color-picker.png).

The buttons should not have a frame because we’re supposedly trying to reduce visual clutter. When you frame everything it tends to feel cluttered, and that’s the same reason why we did away with excessive lines in the .src-to-.ui dialog conversion.

The button to open the color picker should be more of a menu item than an actual button, actually.

And the buttons should not be together simply because they are completely unrelated.
