Hey I am working on many data set and I must do many identical charts. The problem is every charts must have 32x15 cm. When I went to Tool > Options > Chart, I could change only color. So I would like to suggest let users define globally size of all charts and it let us reduce time spend on work.
Hi Mateusz, I'm not sure about the usefulness of this, sorry. You know you can copy and paste a chart and drag a new data range to the object (or edit it via the dialogs)? Best, Cor
Cor, why not? LO include such useless thing like Firefox Themes. But this one global setting could help reduce time needed to doing job with charts. I will try your method. Thanks for suggestion.
Hello, one setting for all charts is not good idea. I think Calc should allow this way: select multiple charts with SHIFT+click right click on selection -> charts properties set identical properties See for example: http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/microsoft-office/quick-tip-apply-a-uniform-size-to-all-charts-on-an-excel-sheet/

That is true. But maybe you need to change it often? Just thinking loud ;) Ah well, then when you need a series of the same size, setting it is of course fine. Note there is another bug for other settings in Chart: bug 62860 Maybe there is indeed a good reason to create an option page under Tools > Options > Charts .. ;) @raal: your idea is good to of course. @mateusz: interesting to read about your experience with C&P&drag
@up C&P&drag method speeded up my work. :p Thanks a lot. :)
(In reply to Mateusz from comment #5) > @up > > C&P&drag method speeded up my work. :p Thanks a lot. :) @Mateusz (and all who may find this useful): I have experienced similar problems. C&P&drag is a first solution, but also you may add another thing. Create a spreadsheet with a complete format chart on it. Also, it con contain a lot of dummy series previously formatted. This chart will work in a way as a "template" (you may save it as OTS as well) Save that ODS file containing that chart, and when you need it in a spreadsheet: 1) Right click in the name of the sheet 2) Select "insert sheet". 3) A dialog will appear, select "from file" button. 4) Navigate to your ODS file with the template chart and select it. 5) There will appear a list of sheets of your "template". Select the sheet that has the chart on it. Now, a new sheet with your template chart will appear. Then, you proceed with the C&P&drag approach. Regards
