These hyperlinks work fine in older versions of Libre Office and Open office.
I find this system hard to follow.

It works for me as expected in 4.2.7.2, Ubuntu 14.04.

Do you have the option "Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Security - Options - Ctrl-click required to follow hyperlinks" unchecked?
Comment 4 Grahame 2014-11-19 02:27:51 UTC
Thank you stanislav, that's the answer.
I guess if I had been smart enough to read the hover message ("ctrl click")that would have given me an answer but not the full answer. I guess because I had never needed "ctrl" previously and this file worked fine without "cnrtl" on other computers with the older versions of Open office and Libre office but not in this latest version of Ubuntu I panicked.

I greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you.

I think default value for the option has been changed since about 4.0, so that's why Ctrl was not needed in older versions.

The problem seems to be solved, so closing the bug as invalid.
