Description MartinsS 2014-10-28 14:44:17 UTC
Problem description:
It's not possible to start Draw or Impress on couple of our organisation computers running Windows 7 (They all are HP branded PCs with HP Win7 32bit). No error, nothing. In task manager I can see running sdraw.exe. Writer and Calc is working OK. I have tried also 4.3.3.1 release, but the problem is the same. I have tried also to delete all LibreOffice stuff from AppData. I do not have anymore any idea what is causing such behavior.

Steps to reproduce:
Click on Draw directly or from LibreOffice menu.

Current behavior:
Impress and Draw not opening/loading

Expected behavior:
Impress and Draw opens/loads.

try portable version from this link:
http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.1354

is it affected by that bug too?

Hi! Portable version works correctly.
Comment 3 tommy27 2014-11-02 17:12:50 UTC
there must be a problem during the install.
try again a full uninstall, including the user profile from AppData, then reinstall the brand new 4.3.3.2

I think the problem is not with install, because I am deploying with "GPO Software install" and problems are with one type of PCs (HP + HP win7). I already tried to reinstall by hand, but that do not resolves the problem.

I will try tomorrow install last stable version.

Setting as NEEDINFO. Set to UNCONFIRMED again if problem remains in new version.

With LibreOffice Version 4.3.4.1 the same behavior - draw and impress stuck in loading. WinDbg will show anything usable if the LibreOffice process do not crash but is stuck in loading?

I cant't reproduce that bug on my PC and the PC which are impacted by this bug is in use, so I have limited time and access to that PCs.

Can you start Draw and Impress from other LO module? Open Calc/writer, menu File-New-Drawing/Presentation.
Try to disable antivirus.

When I do this: Open Calc/writer, menu File-New-Drawing/Presentation, then the Calc/writer hangs.

Try to get backtrace, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg

Sounds like a plan. Let's see what the backtrace digs up.
