Created attachment 109055 [details] .docx, .odt of file, .PDF File for reference of original content look Problem description: After creating a table of contents by using Insert -> Indexes and Tables -> Entry and formatting the table of contents for a docx file, then saving and closing the file, when reopening the file, the formatting is changed. Also, the entry level numbers are shifted from original numbers to down 1 or 2 levels. Steps to reproduce: 1. Make a writer file in .docx 2. Add entries to index for TOC (Insert -> Indexes and Tables -> Entry 3. Generate TOC (Insert -> Indexes and Tables -> Indexes and Tables...) 4. Change Formats of Levels of entries (lv 1 - 14font, lv 2 - 12 font, lv3 -10 font) 5. Change Levels to have Tabs and not tab position to paragraph indent (lv 2 - tabstop .5", lv 3 - tabstop 1") 6. Save and make PDF for reference 7. Close and re-open .docx file Current behavior: -Changes formatting to default -Changes entry numbers to one or two entry levels lower -only present in docx files, tested with odt format and is okay. Expected behavior: -Keep settings as they were before. CENTOS 7 Also, warnings for submitting bug reports such as "Data not yet loaded. Please press submit again in a few seconds." should be closer to the submit button to make it visible to the reader (using FF31.2). For me, saving the .odt to .docx does not change formatting to default (they still have Contents 1,2,3..). However, it does bring the sublevels backwards so that the page numbers are also pulled to the left. ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.1.5 or 5.2.1 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. "FORMATTING:" - no, this is FILESAVE DOCX "1. Make a writer file in .docx" no, Open new file (and save as ODT to attach here)... later save as DOCX "4. Change Formats of Levels of entries" how, directly ot change Contents styles? "5. Change Levels to have Tabs and not tab position to paragraph indent" how? "7. Close and re-open .docx file" OK, this is RT, save and reopen Is it enough to save ODT as DOCX and reopen? It should be. Since there was no response and more important, bug is not clear, I set back to Needinfo. Please write exact steps and test with master 6.2+.
Since there's no response, I'll close. I also didn't reproduce the example from Bug 90938. If someone clarifies this one and confirms it's reproducible with current LO and not a duplicate of some other bug, feel free to set back to New, with clear steps. Except if this is a case of general Bug 118972. Notes: - please don't attach ZIP but rather separate attachments. - for bugs in Needinfo, no purpose to have them in block Bug 104524.
