The Edit and Insert menu have insert and removal entries for page break, cells, and sheets, but only the Insert menu has entries for inserting rows and columns. As inserting and removing cells, rows and columns are the number one function used in calc, it would be useful to add removal entries for rows and columns into the Edit menu.

Hm the edit menu looks already too big for me. Can we maybe put these items for removing things in a submenu?
All the remove things are heavily used, so unfortunately it isnt good to have them in submenus. Well the menu isnt as large as Writer's edit menu. :D I do agree with you that the edit menu is way to big and i think it can easily be reduced by moving 'header & footers' to the formatting menu, and removing the section containing links, plugin, image map, and object. I planned to suggest these and more when i did a full revamp of the edit menu.
Ok, sounds good :)

People need to be able to find that too. > removing the section containing links, plugin, image map, and object. Pls look at Edit > Links (also in Writer) before suggesting that. For the others too, my feeling is that you write way to easy that those can be removed :)
