Description Bram 2014-11-11 14:13:18 UTC
When you have a cell A5 which is the sum of A1:A4 and you refer to that cell from another sheet that reference $'Sheet 1':A5 we've seen that the value on that sheet doesn't always update itself, other references to get updated, it's only a problem with formulas and or sum.

It's difficult to test, it doesn't always happen, we're having this problem with a very large spreadsheet.

doing F9 does nothing, changing a value (in the cells A1 to A4 helps most of the time but not always), it seems like libreoffice doesn't always know that the value in the cell has changed.

Hi Bram,

Thanks for writing the issue.
Now a problem probably is a document to reproduce that behaviour. Would it be possible to provide that?
But refresh - by the way - should work with Ctrl+Shift+F9 ..
And also: you mention 4.1.4.2 as version.
Could it be possible to check in a newer version?

Cheers,
Cor

I'm sorry but I can't provide the file, it contains sensitive data.
I think it's caused by changing data and then closing the file, then reopening and going to the faulty sheet.
Do references to other sheets get recalculated when you change the source cell or when you select the other sheet ?
Saving to xls (it was an ods file) and reopening also solved the problem,
it's too soon to say if only ods files have this prolben and xls files don't.

Newer version, I could check that if you think it makes a difference, I'm running linux/el7.

Having a test case really is important.

It always was immediately.
I think some things changed there recently. At least for opening files (dependent on the type)
Look at Tools > Options > Calc .. Formulae .. Recalculate at loading
