If you click on the very nice new drop-down menus for the Bullets and Numbering toolbar buttons and select the More Bullets / More Numbering options then this should lead to the corresponding tab in the dialogue box and not the last one selected. Reproduced with LO 4.4.0.0.beta1.

The drop-down are showing the same items as the corresponding tabs of the dialog, so it doesn't make sense to show those tabs. Instead I propose to default to the "Options" tab for both drop-downs.

Maxim Monastirsky committed a patch related to this issue. Jay, during this phase (until the first RC is released) developers are pushing to 4-4 as well (at their discretion) and no peer review is required. But the bugs aren’t currently receiving commit notifications for that branch because of a bug in the new bugzilla script.
