Description Olivier Hallot 2014-11-23 21:31:34 UTC
The Formula settings dialog in Calc Options should be refactored.

* The dialog has a awkward size

* The dialog has many options that should be split into sections (because they are not related).

One section for strings handling in calculations
One section for formula references options
One section for OpenCL (with many sub-sections, if necessary)

* OpenCL options should be moved to listbox, radios, etc...

* The dialog lacks a Help button

* Many of the dialog texts should me moved to helpcontent or tip

Glade dialog: sc/uiconfig/scalc/ui/formulacalculationoptions.ui

Hi Olivier,

Seems fine.

If I can express my opinion, for me the natural place for the first three options is in
 LibreOffice calc/calculate
maybe with a separator line if some differentiation is needed to be showed. I think more visible place for users, and seems there is enough place for them.
In this way only OpenCL options remains in the dialog.

Tor has started doing this:

Note that Glade is not usable to edit this particular dialog. (That is not news, it has not been earlier either, when it contained less stuff.) And yes, refactoring it is being done.

The dialog has been radically re-factored now. All the OpenCL related stuff is gone.
