Reasonable--could not find that we already have an option to set the selected tab(s) other than white. Setting new... but, make the addition to the Tools -> LibreOffice -> Appearance -> Spreadsheet section as a "Sheet tabs" element with color setting and preview.

We have multiple requests for better visibility of multiple selected sheets. Other bugs and this one were marked as a dupe of Bug 57822, probably just because it's earlier. But that bug is messy so that's not correct and I rearrange. Let this bug be about addition to the Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Application Colors -> Spreadsheet section: "Sheet tabs" elements (title, background, multiselect title, multiselect backrground) with color setting and preview.

Would make it a dup of 104564, and in general it's the best to use the system colors rather than options. But the overall opinion seems to be thumbs-up.
Is this still a relevant issue to have a color setting in the options dialog? I think this issue is not necessary any more since the commits for bug 124572 "tabs in calc (for sheets) and draw (for layer) style" introduced with LibreOffice 6.3 because the grey small bar at the bottom of each sheet tab shows what's selected. Seems not worth to give that small bar a customized color.

At the very least, it would consider the same default application(not sys) colour, being in Tool > Options > LibreCalc > View > Display : Column/Row highlighting.
Are you against introducing the common opinion of introducing a new field, it's seems to be quick and easy to implement and already "validated"? Whether as proposed in comment 5: Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> > Application Colors -> Spreadsheet section: "Sheet tabs" or as I proposed in duplicate Bug 166592: Adding a field "activeTabBackgroundColour" in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance in customizations would permit that. Thanks
Tabs may have different colors (via right click) and any color to indicate the selection is potentially failing. We have a bold bar on the bottom that works well (bug 104564 is WFM). One may of course question the need for colorized tabs, but that's a different animal. My take here is WF.
