The enablement of versioning is not accessible from the save dialog, but the opening of versioning is available from the open dialog. So it would be good to have a checkbox in the save dialog underneath the 'Save with password' checkbox to do the same as File > Versions > Always save a new version on closing.
Hi Jay, seems more a request for enhancement than a bug. And maybe the same for the Save dialog, when first time saving.

Yes i had it as 'Save/Save As' in the title and when i modified it, i forgot to remove the 'As' as well. :D

Heiko has provided a mockup of what the checkbox could look like in attachment 132649 [details] and the ability to link into the version control dialog.
There is enough input from UX.
