I just downloaded release 4.4.0.3. Opening or editing a report created
with a previous version seems impossible. But it is worst it is impossible to make a new report in Base ?

It is very surprising I'm on Windows 7. Am I the only onu  having this problem?

Hi @christian, thanks for reporting.

Have you selected Jave in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Advanced - Use a java runtime environment.
Also select one version (even seems selected) and Ok.

But unfortunaly java was well selected. It is release "Oracle Corporation 1.8.0_31".

Steps:
Open a new calc spreadsheet.
[F4]
Edit Bibliography database.
Select Reports
Double-click Create Report in Design View.
LibreOffice hangs.
