Description suradetj 2015-02-02 05:03:16 UTC
Reproduction steps

1. enter values in a range of cells
2. enter a formula using the first cells in the range
3. copy the first cell
4. paste special with formula option checked
5. the result is correct
6. redo the step 3 - 5. The result on the copied cells is the value of the first cell instead.

After carefully scrutinizing how I encountered the problem. It turned out that the new behavior of the Paste Special dialog caused me the problem.

In the previous versions, the focus of the Paste Special dialog was the "OK" button. Version 4.4, the focus of the Paste Special dialog was the NEW "Value only" button.

When I did the step 4 from the reproduction procedure by pressing the "Enter" button (since the formula option is checked). The result was copied by value instead of copy with formula as in the previous versions.

I propose that the behavior should reverse back to the behavior of the previous versions as this cause extra steps for users who regularly "copy by formulas"

7 of my colleagues experienced the same problem as I had. They found that I have closed this report and would like me to reopen it which I agreed to do so because the new behavior has caused problems to many of us.

Hello,
I can reproduce with LO 4.4, win7, but cannot reproduce with version 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 20deac4903fc0697477e855feeff482b3da234f9
TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2015-01-29_23:02:41

With LO 4.5 is focus on button OK, so it's fixed in newer version. Closing bug as worksforme.
