Sorry - this was added before I could enter details.
Linux Mageia 4 x86_64, Brother printers HL-2130, DCP-J715W
Spreadsheet formatted as "Landscape" is printed out as portrait in both printers.
In other words, LibreOffice's page information is not passed to printer drivers.

Is this a general problem with printers or only when using those specifically?
What happens when you export your spreadsheet as pdf? Is the pdf in landscape mode?
Will the print preview properly show the page in landscape orientation?

Cannot reproduce on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with Libreoffice 4.2.7.2 and 4.5-dev. HP Laserjet 3800 and 4200, Canon IP4500, Ricoh MP 5002.

Have you tried changing the printer language type from PDF to Postscript - that worked for me ...
