Created attachment 116071 [details] document showing comparison of numbering In the tooltips, are the Chinese characters that precede the numbers and letters correct? Is it just the numbers and letters that need to be corrected or does the description need to be changed as well? Are the tooltips for Bullets and Outline OK? I have set this to NEEDINFO. Set back to UNCONFIRMED once the necessary information has been provided. Windows Vista 64 Version: 4.4.3.2 Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16
The tooltips for bullets are fine. The tooltips for outline are incorrect. Note that major cause of this issue is that that samples of numbered list and outline are locale dependent, while the tooltips never changes accordingly.
Created attachment 116074 [details] Update comparison of numbering sample and their tooltips that describe the expected text. Note that numbering and outline samples depend upon locale, which means it needs different tool tips accordingly.
Thanks Mark. You have Numbering for Chinese Lower-case Numbers twice. Is this correct? Is one just a more formal way of writing numbers like English spells out the number? I can confirm that the tooltips in the Chinese refer to the numbering in a different locale and not to what is displayed in the examples.

This bug still exists and never works. I guess it is the same as sone other languages. One “easy” fix for this is ti force all the l10n team to make their numbering list, located in i18npool/source/localedata/data, node <LC_NumberingLevel>, to the same as the default one, but it is not a fix, as each language has its own numbering tradition and best order.
