I recognized this (these) bug(s) while investigating bug 89874. If you are using the Scaling function to enlarge the menus and then changing it back to 100% the OPTIONS dialog size is no longer adaptable. Furthermore, the size of the OPTIONS dialog does not automatically adapt to the increased size of the text in the dialog. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open WRITER 2. Go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> section LIBREOFFICE -> subsection VIEW and select Scaling to e.g. 150% and press OK Interim Result: The font size of the menu and the formatting toolbar items is increased. 3. Go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> section LIBREOFFICE -> subsection VIEW Interim Result: It is impossible to read all the entries in the OPTIONS dialog (see section "User Interface" and "Mouse"). -> Enhancement: It would be good if the dialog would automatically adapt its size, if possible. 4. Now extend the size (width) of the OPTIONS dialog, that you can read the whole dialog and press OK 5. Go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> section LIBREOFFICE -> subsection VIEW Interim Result: The OPTIONS dialog is again too small, though you have increased it in step 4. Bug: It would be good if the dialog would keep its size. 6. Now extend again the size (width) of the OPTIONS dialog, that you can read the whole dialog and change the Scaling back to 100% and press OK 7. Go to TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> section LIBREOFFICE -> subsection VIEW Interim Result: The dialog is still increased, which seems to be inconsistent with the bug in step 5. Bug: The dialog should have again the original size of step 2. 8. Now try to reduce the size of the dialog. Result: It is impossible to reduce the size of the dialog. 9. Close and reopen LO and then everything is fine again Reproducible with LO 4.4.1.2, Win 8.1
Reproduced all the described results.
