Linked Image in Excel

It would be nice if Calc has "Paste as Linked Image".
This feature enables you to place tables which column width and row height are different,side by side.
<See the attachment>

Calc has Link option in paste special menu, though you can't move table freely and links are not updated automatically.

Best regards.

Hello,
calc has this feature, as you wrote it's under the paste special/Link.

First problem I see that calc set this link as normal link, not as DDE. I tested with OOo and OOo paste function DDE into link. The link should be DDE automatic, see https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Edit_Links#Automatic

LO write link as:  {='file:///tmp/Untitled 3.ods'#$Sheet1.A1:B2}
OOo wite link as:  {=DDE("soffice";"\\VBOXSVR\tmp\oo.ods";"List1.A1:B2")}

Setting to new and changing summary.
Links you can see in menu Edit/Links

Second problem is inability to move link area. This is possible in OOo, partially broken in LO 3.5 and broken in current LO. For this please create another bug and give me to cc.

Tested with Version: 4.4.2.0.0+
Build ID: 3e3f0f5c3051ea982f8f753e0f3e51441e8f9496

Hi

It seems that you did not understand the request.
I advise you this short video that shows step by step what it is.

LibreOffice does *not* have this feature. It is not a bug but an enhancement request and I therefore update the Importance field.

While this is not a widely used or known feature in Excel, it is a very useful and powerful feature. It would be a great enhancement to Calc.

At one point, this was called Camera in Excel if I recall correctly.

Is anyone making an extension or addon for this?
