Description Ira Domsky 2015-03-23 17:44:50 UTC
Actual version is 4.3.5.2. When I attempt to print from Calc to my HP Deskjet printer, the print job goes through all the appropriate steps on the computer (spools and supposedly get transmitted to the printer)but does not print. Yet I can print a spreadsheet to a PDF creator; the resultant file I can then print from Adobe Reader. This is unique to Calc, as I can print directly from other LibreOffice modules.

Hi Ira, thanks for reporting.

Please can you attach a sample file to test.

Version selected it's not the version mentioned, it's the issue with both.

Thank you m.a.riosv. I did not have a choice to select the most current version from the drop down list. But the version mentioned in the comment itself is the one I am using. But this may be a tricky bug.

The file I have that won't print at all contains our family personal financial data. I attempted to print a file I would be comfortable sharing, and it worked fine. It printed landscape and portrait, and with embedded charts. But Because the data are confidential, I am unable to share that one with you. I realize I'm not giving you much help.

So, what could be peculiar about an ODS file that would make it not print to physical printer? The problem file has 6 sheets, the maximum number of rows on any sheet is less than 1,000 rows and 15 columns and it contains a pivot table. I have a very similar file with last year's financial data, and that won't print either. What's odd, is last year, with an older version of LibreOffice, I was able to print from it.
