Description Marina Latini (SUSE) 2015-03-31 12:38:20 UTC
The feature Tools - Options - LibreOffice - General - Help Improve LibreOfficeDev has no help page.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Tools - Options- LibreOffice - General
2) click the "Collect usage data and send it to The Document Foundation" checkbox
3) click the help button

Tested on:
* Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+
* Build ID: 0986fe775563a9fd2a463f1c1b288fb5209b0b52
* TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2015-03-31_07:17:19
* Locale: it_IT
* OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x86

Tested on:
* Version: 5.2.1.2
* Build ID: 31dd62db80d4e60af04904455ec9c9219178d620

If you follow the Steps to reproduce: Tools > Options > LibreOffice > General > "Collect usage data and send it to The Document Foundation" checkbox > click the help button, this will launch a page with no help for the option above.

https://help.libreoffice.org/swriter/cui/ui/optgeneralpage/collectusageinfo?Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=5.2
There is currently no text in this page

However, if you open the help from the other options (Extended tips, Use LibreOffice dialogs and Year (two digits)), this will launch this page:

https://help.libreoffice.org/index.php?title=5.2/Common/General_6&Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=5.2#bm_id7715994

that contains the Help for "Collect usage data and send it to The Document Foundation".

So, to fix this ticket it's is needed to update the link from this option: "Collect usage data and send it to The Document Foundation" checkbox.

On using the local help package (not the wiki help page), I can't reproduce the bug, the Help button always opens the right page:

source/text/shared/optionen/01010600.xhp or

http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/help/source/text/shared/optionen/01010600.xhp

which is also the wiki page

https://help.libreoffice.org/index.php?title=5.2/Common/General_6&Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=5.2#bm_id7715994

Versão: 5.2.3.3
ID de compilação: d54a8868f08a7b39642414cf2c8ef2f228f780cf
Threads da CPU:8; Versão do SO: Linux 4.8; Realizador da interface: padrão;
Local: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); Calc: group

So,
1) with respect to the bug title, the help page is written since March 26, 2016 (But a link to an official TDF page and with privacy policy and usage of data is much needed).

2) On the page in wiki, this is a wikihelp bug.

I've download the "Help for offline use" and now it's working correctly: the Help button opens the right page.

@Olivier, if the help page is written, I believe we can close this ticket?? The request for an official TDF page.. would be another ticket, is that all right?
