Description Jérôme 2015-04-02 19:40:53 UTC
For searching text from left to right, I can use "search" and "find" text formula.

However, I didn't found a formula for searching in the reverse order (right to left).

Maybe an optional boolean parameter of the existing formulas could tell the search order.

I am not sure if I understand it right.
If you open the Find toolbar (VIEW -> TOOLBARS -> FIND) and you enter a search term you have next to it an Arrow Down and Arrow Up icon.
If you use then the Arrow up icon would this not be the feature you want (searching from the right to the left and then going up the lines)?

Hello,
please specify what you mean. Find bar or function SEARCH() for example? Thank you.
Set then back to unconfirmed.

I mean the 2 text functions used in formulas :
- search("t","azerty",2) that returns "5"
- find("t","azerty",2) that returns "5"

I just sent a request to the mailing list of the Open Document Format for Office Applications Committee at OASIS.
