When I want to paste the values (text, numbers, date and hour) without any extra information (formulas, comments, formats, objects) I perform the following steps : 1. right click 2. select "paste special" (this opens a dialog window) 3. deselect "insert all" 4. select "numbers" 5. deselect "formula" 6. deselect "comments" 7. deselect "formats" 8. deselect "objects" 9. validate on "OK" button I would like something like : 1. right click 2. select "paste special" 3. select 1 group checkbox "values" (which selects "text", "number", "date and hour") 4. deselect 1 group checkbox "extra data" (which deselects "formulas", "comments", formats", "objects") 5. validate on "OK" button This would split the current "selection" group of checkboxes into subgroups : - "values" (with a group checkbox) - "extra data" (with a group checkbox) On first use by default the "values" could be selected and the "extra data" could be deselected. This would allow something that would satisfy former M. Excel users : 1. right click 2. select "paste special" 3. validate on "OK" button (since the "values" was selected and "extra data" was deselected). The above field names are translated from French and thus not reflecting actual names into English UI.
