Description John 2015-04-17 12:01:57 UTC
I double-click on a chart on a Calc sheet and update the data range to add a new line to the chart (line graph). When the chart object loses focus the content is as before editing. Double clicking the chart again will show the correct/new version.

Also, when the chart data is changed the same situation can occur.

Moving the chart object on the Calc sheet will cause the chart to be redrawn in the new version and appear correctly when it has lost focus.

Version: 4.3.6.2
Build ID: 430m0(Build:2)
O/S: openSUSE 13.2
uname -a output: Linux jl64.site 3.16.7-13-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Mar 18 17:31:15 UTC 2015 (ba2afab) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Now I know about it the workaround is easy!

Best wishes

John

Hello John,
Please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. Also provide steps to reproduce.

File with problem

This is a document where I have the issue.

Steps to reproduce problem.
1. Go to the "Smoothed" sheet at the far right of the sheets where there is a chart with a dotted border. This will serve as an example.
2. Go to the "Data" sheet at the far left where cell N1 has the value 5%.
3. Change the value to 15% and tab off the cell.
4. Return to the "Smoothed" sheet an see the state of the chart.
5. Double click on the chart to give it focus.
6. Click elsewhere on the sheet to remove focus from the chart.

You will need to repeat steps 2 to 6 at least once changing the value in $Data.$N$1 again to reproduce the issue.

I thought I would make your life easier and move the "Smoothed" sheet next to the "Data" sheet, but the issue disappeared when I did that!

Thanks

John

N1 is a label. N2 has the value 5%

After double-clicking, the chart changes.

Double-clicking the chart changes it to a very difference appearance, but clicking off of it changes it back.

Status -> NEW

Hmm, very interesting! That definitely might be of help here.

I saw a similar behaviour as mentioned in bug 58027 comment 3 of double-clicking on a chart and then when i moved it, it refreshed its content.
