With previous versions of Writer a range of cells from a spreadsheet or fields from database table could be copied to the clipboard. When these were pasted into Calc each cell or field would be placed in its own cell along a row. In version 4.4.2.2 this consistently fails - an image of the selection in the database plus column headings is pasted into the selected cell in Calc. I have regressed to version 4.2.8.2 and the pasting is again what is expected.
Sorry, can't seem to edit my original comments - word 5 should read Calc not Writer.

I can not reproduce this bug on Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2 with LibreOffice 4.4.2.2.
To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you rename this LibreOffice user directory ( see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Default_location or http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/903/where-are-the-libreoffice-data-profile-files/ ) and re-test?
