In LibO 3.6, Heading 1 was introduced in the 'Apply Style' drop down, but it isnt useful for most users because it has a text orientation of 90 degrees, so the Heading entry is required to be included.
I would rather change "Heading 1" - our main heading style should not be rotated 90 degrees.

Yes 'Heading' should be a base for all other heading entries, similar to how it is in Writer, so it doesnt need to be in the drop down list.
* Current State *
Heading: 16pt, bold, italics, centered
Heading 1: Inherit from Heading, 90 degree text orientation
* Future State *
Heading: 11pt, bold
Heading 1: Inherit from Heading, 16pt
Closing this in favour of bug 90937.
