Conditional Formatting with Gradient Presets mockup
When setting color scale conditional formatting with 2 or 3 entries, it would be useful to have color gradient presets for users to choose from rather than having to select individual colors, similar to how we have presets for icon sets.
Example 3 Entries Presets:
Heat Gradient: Red, Orange 1, White
Traffic Sign Gradient: Red, Yellow, Green
Blue, White, Red (not sure the name for this one)
Example 2 Entries Presets:
There is also a large gradient list at http://colrd.com/gradient/
Setting NEW as ux-advise enhancement.
R has a lot of cool graphic features including colorRamp() https://stat.ethz.ch/R-manual/R-devel/library/grDevices/html/colorRamp.html
The code should be available somewhere.
Excel has also implemented a few 3 and 2 entry color scale presets, but this feature is only available in its toolbar drop down [attachment 109790 [details]]:
