Hi, the comment added to a change is not displayed in the Manage Changes sidebar dialog under the List tab. It's shown in the dialog that opens with Edit > Manage changes under the List tab. They are displayed once you filter them by comments. Sophie
Not reproduced. I admit that the sidebar width has to be maximized and on Linux we have to perhaps sidescroll a little to see the comment. 1. New Text Document. 2. Open Sidebar to Manage Changes. 3. Type “test” and Enter. 4. Edit → Track Changes → Record Changes on. 5. Type “test”. 6. You can either right click on the change in the Sidebar and edit comment or place the cursor in the changed text (doesn't work if cursor at the end or it is selected by double click or selected from beginning to end bug 79197 or Next Change bug 87491) and Edit → Track Changes → Comment on Change. 7. Type “test” in dialogue and OK. Note: The cursor is not visible until you type something and click the cursor in again. Result: Manage Changes in Sidebar does not display the comment. 8. Switch to Navigator or something else in the Sidebar and switch back to Manage Changes. Result: Comment is now displayed. NEW per comment 2.
No, the text of the comments on changes is there. It aimply starts off as right justified on initial display in the Manage Changes dialog or Sidebar panel. When the dialog of the content panel is refreshed--text then shows as left justified. The sidebar has a Horizontal scroll bar for review, the dialog does not.

Reading this, I'm not cleat what this bug refers to: Edit -> Manage Changes dialog is OK, what is "Manage Changes sidebar dialog", is it Edit -> Sidebar -> Navigator or what? Navigator doesn't display comments inserted on changes, just regular comments. Is this bug about that or that's separate bug?

OK, what I see in 5.4+ is similar to Comment 4: Comments wrongly right justified in the Manage Changes sidebar experimental feature. Since Manage Changes sidebar on initial display is narrow enough not to see the whole Comment field, looks like not displayed, until the panel is expanded. So I'll change the title.

It seems, there is no experimental feature Manage Changes sidebar any more. Please, reopen this issue if I'm wrong.
(In reply to László Németh from comment #10) > It seems, there is no experimental feature Manage Changes sidebar any more. > Please, reopen this issue if I'm wrong. There is: you just have to enable experimental features: Tools - Options - LibO - Advanced
