You know that currently the option is already there?
See tab Options choose at Number for Images then in the Images: Select from file.

Hi Joel,

You are right about the normal route to take. However I remembered heena from e.g. bug 87675, where the simple filing of the bug resulted in a patch rather soon ;)

Heena, is that the idea here too?

@Cor: yes, Idea here is also somewhat like previously I did.

@Joel:-
In Formats-> Bullets And numbering -> "Image" tab -> Need "Add" Option to add any image for bullets in gallery.

As currently, we have option in "Customize" tab that can provide only use of any selected image as a bullet in a particular document.
(Means if user want to use the same image again then user has to add or select that image again because that image is not saved in user gallery.)

Ah, indeed, that makes a difference.
Of course the use case that I mentioned can be combined with a (custom) list style. But for people that use the dialog for direct formatting, adding the new images to the list, is new.
