jpg file showing Calc sheet is still white active even though Print Ranges is clear

After clicking FORMAT / PRINT RANGES / CLEAR, the print range is cleared, there are no print ranges, BUT the page remains white or active.
In versions before 4.3.6.2, the page turns grey, becomes inactive.
So, when I proceeded to print after 'CLEAR'ing the print range of a particular document, that particular page still gets printed.
At the moment, I am overcoming it by defining a blank cell so that at least I wont be printing out unwanted data and I wont waste any paper but a blank page is still 'printed'.

Actually, this peculiarity happens only in newly 'CLEAR'ed print ranges.
If an old document has a 'CLEAR'ed sheet, it remains grey.
But if in that existing Calc file, I newly 'CLEAR' a sheet, it remains white and the above mentioned problem appears.

I'm also downloading a new version now ie version 4.4.3, hoping that this version does not have same problem
