several times the same:
Rightclick on the top of a column and choosing "insert column at left" causes an unexpected quit.
If only one sheet is in use or a group of sheets makes no difference.

I can not reproduce in Linux

Does it work on a blank spreadhseet? If not, can you attach a spreadsheet so we can reproduce the problem?

Comment 5 Manfred 2015-05-23 21:37:03 UTC
have cleaned the target calc-document and attached it.
hope all private content is deleted…

this one was build in excel 2004 for Mac last time in 2011 or so.
Opened and continued to get better with OpenOffice 2-3 years ago.
After a bug with password protected calc documents in AOO and Mac OSX 64 bit,
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125431

I used LibreOffice and could open the password protected calc-docs and work with them, because I need them mostly every day….

So: this doc is password-protected. (here short: manne)

Maybe this is an old bug, coming from Excel / AOO and there it sounds like it is only a behavior with 64bit Mac OS Yosemite…
I don’t know if they fixed it there.
No one has this OS to check and try to reproduce this bug.
Maybe it is a bug only here or in my sheets…
I don’t know and be tired today.

But I need to input colums in this doc.

Please fix it soon.

Thank you.

I do not reproduce on windows 7/64 with Version: 4.4.3.2

I made a copy (File> Save a copy). Do you Reproduce the problem with this copy?

Jute to be sure, did you try to "clean" your profile folder as explained in this FAQ: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile (start LibreOffice having renamed this folder)?

Hi Pierre-Yves,

haven’t renamed or doing anything to the profile-folder.

But I tried your NewTest.ods and I can insert Columns in this doc anywhere.
Also with grouped sheets.

Then I tried to do it with my original file - and all is working as expected.
What was that for a trick?

I had tried to insert columns after several restarts of my Mac and LibreOffice always crashes...

(Because it was the first action in this sheet, I don’t need the recovery-automatic and clicked on "don’t restore from recovery".
Maybe this could be the reason for the crashes?)

I do know nothing now…

So I hope this bug is no bug and will not be there in the future.
