When inserting a SVG graphics file in Writer containing a so called text put on a path the position of the text is wrong. The SVG file is created with Inkscape. The SVG file is displayed correctly in Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. The error is seen on Windows 8.1 with LibreOffice 4.4.3.2 The error is also present on Windows 8.1 with LibreOffice Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1
Confirmed, text is not at the middle of the path, but sliding downhill. Win 7 Pro 64-bit Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 698b344fdf42cc9738d5e91cd27876ce1ff39daf TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2015-06-10_02:24:19 Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI)
The error is still present in LibreOffice 5.1.0 RC2. The operating system used is Windows 8.1 64bit version. Danish localization for both OS and LibreOffice. The first attached file is a SVG file. It will display correctly in Firefox or Google Chrome. The next attached file is a LibreOffice Writer file with the first attached SVG file inserted as a picture. Opening this file clearly shows what the error is. The text should be centered on the line. But the text is not centered on the line. I have attached a LibreOffice Impress page made with 5.1.0 RC2. It clearly shows that the error is still present.

The error has now been present for at least for 1½ year. The error is present in LibreOffice 5.3.0.0.beta1 The error is also present in LibreOffice 5.2.
(In reply to zaqzaqtgbyhnujm from comment #6) > Am I doing something wrong in my description of the error since nobody is > trying to correct the error I have described? There are over ten thousand reports (bugs & features) for LibO: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/reports.cgi?product_id=109&datasets=NEW I think you get the point.
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
