Description stephan.druskat 2015-05-27 09:59:59 UTC
Searching for a term in the document via CTRL+F, finding it, leaving search with ESC, editing the document, then searching again via CTRL+F, one always has to re-enter the search term.

It would help massively with some workflows if the search field would remember the last search term, and upon pressing CTRL+F would highlight it by default, so that the user can
- enter a new term straightaway (overwrites the last term)
- press RETURN (to search for the last term again).

p.s.: For an example of how I'd envisage the feature, cf. Firefox' search.

Hi Stephan,

It does for me in 4.4.3 and 5.5.0..
Are you able to check a more recent version too?

Hi Cor,

True, all works fine in 4.4.3.2. I stumbled over the fact that the Ubuntu repos don't provide bleeding edge releases...

Thanks!

Hi Stephan,

I discovered that 2 mins after you left the IRC channel. :S Sorry, but good news is, it's already fixed.
