Description Pedro 2015-05-30 07:39:06 UTC
In all modules that support adding Text Boxes or Drawing objects the cursor simply vanishes as soon as it is over the page area.

Steps to replicate:
1. Open a new document (e.g. Writer)
2. Click on the (e.g.) Text Box button
3. Move the cursor into the page area to create the Text Box
Observed
* The cursor disappears so you can't position the Text Box

This is a MAJOR regression in 5.0

Tested with LO Beta 1 under Windows XP Pro x86 SP3 and Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1

Failed to reproduce. I got the crosshair cursor to position the text box.

Tested using Windows 7 X64 with LibreOffice Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 6a626955eb8b803fa58a58baafaa2a06ab4761f2
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2015-05-30_07:46:48
Locale: nl-BE (nl_BE)

PS: to reproduce, make sure you open 'View' > 'Toolbars' > 'Drawing'.

Do you mean that this does not occur in Master? Can you test with 5.0 Beta?

Not needed if you are starting with a fresh profile. Text Box is now included in the Standard Toolbar (the 20th icon from the left)

I succeeded reproducing.
Tested using Windows8.1(X64) with Libreoffice 5.0.0.0.beta1(build ID: 0a16c3dda4150008d9be6f24cbd15ac198d116d3).

It was also occurred on Libreoffice Calc when I attempted inserting Shapes, Textbox, etc.
