When I try to open file LO crhashed, but still present in task manager and block file to open in another editor, untill I kill soffice.bin

Cannot reproduce with Lo 5.0 beta 1 in Windows 7 64-bit.
To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, please rename this LibreOffice user directory (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Default_location.

I didn't have %appdata%\libreoffice\5\user
I created %appdata%\libreoffice\5\user, but it didn't help. Even if I try to create new document it crashed.
This may be due to the fact that I have version 4 on the same PC?
Comment 3 raal 2015-06-01 15:59:38 UTC
No crash with Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: af75d7a4c99414fabbd31b9df590266d28574fb1
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2015-05-26_00:20:30

For LO % is profile path still /4
Please try to rename %appdata%\libreoffice\4\user

Ishayahu: For some reasons (I don't know them), LO 5 also uses "4" for profile.
Comment 5 Ishayahu 2015-06-01 19:41:43 UTC
I did this (C:\Users\Ishayahu\AppData\Roaming\LibreOfficeDev\4), renamed user dir to user_old, and still LO crashed when I open any file or try to save a new one
Comment 6 Julien Nabet 2015-06-01 19:54:08 UTC
Do you reproduce this with a brand new file or just with this file?

I mean, can you create a brand new file, type just "test" on it, save it, close LO and reopen it?

Also, did you install any specific fonts or do you have just the Windows fonts?
Comment 7 Julien Nabet 2015-06-01 20:00:20 UTC
BTW, I don't reproduce the crash on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today or with Win7 with master sources updated some days ago.
Comment 8 Ishayahu 2015-06-02 05:15:55 UTC
even with new file
just the Windows fonts

maybe I should just reinstall it?

Since LibreOffice 64 bits is only experimental for the moment, I suppose you have LibreOffice 32 bits.
You must know that only Java 32 bits can be used by LibreOffice. Do you have one or only Java 64 bits?

If you've got Java 32 bits, yes you can try a reinstall.
Try the raw method:
- uninstall LO
- remove LO profile
- clean your Windows registry with a free tool (eg: ccleaner or glary utilities)
- download again LO from official website (see https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/)
- install again
