A screenshot showing the unwanted extra hard return and tab

When I create a one or more endnotes in a document (using Insert -> Footnote/Endnote); save and close the file; and re-open the file; I consistently find that a hard return and tab has been inserted before the start of the text of the first (or only) endnote.

If I delete the hard return and tab; save; close; and re-open; they are back again.

This effectively means that the endnote function is useless in Writer.

I'm using 4.3.7.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
