Created attachment 116342 [details] sidebar width Currently, the properties bar has a defined width which allows its correct use, however, to use other options (eg, style and formatting), you can manipulate the width of the sidebar to a non-usable minimum, which is maintained to use other options. I think that improved usability would grant a minimum width for all sidebar options. In the picture we see from left to right: 1 Maximum width of the properties bar (and Sidebar) 2 Minimum width of the properties bar 3 arbitrary width of the style and formatting bar 4 arbitrary width of the properties bar (result of the change in point 3) Thanks
Created attachment 116433 [details] Overlapping scrollbar on the sidebar content Additional Info: I did additional tests, and noticed that in Writer, the scroll bar overlaps the sidebar content (minimum width). This does not occur when using Calc or Impress, however, the behavior of the contents of the sidebar in Writer, Calc and Impress is very different to compare (In some cases the content does not look right with a custom width). I think to unify the width parameters of the sidebar on libreoffice, help developers build a responsive design of existing tools (and new) that can be integrated into the sidebar. Thanks
Let's ask the design team.
Resolving as duplicate of bug 90374 But this gets completed by an implementation resolving bug 67770 -- Sidebar customization settings not remembered after reopening, which would finish work already done: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=b1314f22eb8de4359b5360194c04996351e9a6c2 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 90374 ***
