Have tried this:
Listbox in a tablecontrol, based on a query like
SELECT NAME, ID FROM TABLE
Set the bound field to '2', which is a wrong value.
Saved the form, opened it for input.
No value is shown, but also no crash.

Couldn't confirm without any more information.
