Example document

When using average or stdev functions in Writer native tables, the results are totally off. Sum is shown in both cases instead.

Because average it's not a function in Writer the function it's 'mean', while editing the formula you can see the available functions with the formula functions (fx icon).

I doesn't have AOo in English but seeing the name used in Spanish, is inherited from OOo the use of 'mean' instead 'average'

Seems the bug it's not to show an error with non defined functions, and it is inherited from OOo. You can use any name you like result it's always the sum if it is not a defined function.

Please change the title to define the real issue.

Probably an enhancement request should be filed to rename mean to average, I don't think these should be named differently in Writer and Calc. (also mean is a nice umbrella term)

Thanks @mahfiaz, I think it's much appropriate now.

I don't know if we are missing some reason to use 'mean', who knows. :)

If change the name can imply backwards compatibility issues, perhaps better add 'average' without deleting 'mean'.

Now in LO 6.3 when I try use function name "Average" in formula in Writer table I got message in cell "Expression is faulty"
