Description Thomas Krumbein 2015-06-22 06:33:33 UTC
It is not possible to reach rotate-mode of an object by using two mouse-clicks.

Up to LibO 4.4 the following workflow works correct:

- create an object (rectangle for ecxample)
- first click on the object will select the object and you are noc in scale-modus.
You normaly saw greeen - and now blue - points arround.

- a second click change mode to rotaion mode, the point become small red circles and you can rotate the object with the mouse.

This doen´t work in 5.0.0.0.beta3 Win64bit build.

first click is ok, a second click do not have any actions. A double-click works fine to enter textmode.

My system:
Win 8.1, 64 bit,

Version: 5.0.0.0.beta3 (x64)
Build-ID: 96345c15d8ab19c49014f055fe41ba8e1f421e5c
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE)

aditional Infos:

it doesn´t work even in Writer, Dalc or Impress with drawing objects.

2. additional Information:

I just create a new profile (user-Profile) - now it works as expected.

So I guess, it is still a little bit instable......

maybe the issue was due to some corruption of your user profile...
Comment 4 Thomas Krumbein 2015-06-22 15:01:20 UTC
Yes, maybe. But corruption of user profile is reproduceble - so I guess, there is something wrong.

If I open some symbol-bars (f.e. line and filling) it is not possible to close this bar again. Doing this via close-cross in the upper right corner, the symbol-bar will disappear and appear again after selecting a new object.

If I close the document and open an new one, the bar is present again.

so this for example corrups the profile and a lot of things more......

Thomas, can you please check if this is still an issue in the most recent 5.1.3 release?
Comment 6 Heiko Tietze 2016-05-16 18:54:05 UTC
Works well with LibO Fresh on Linux, and as far as I remember also on Windows (will double check tomorrow). Keep in mind that you have to wait a few milliseconds to *not* double click but click twice. It might depend on you system settings how long a double click is being accepted as such.

Hey Aron,

yes, it is still not working on my window systems. I have checked this on my actual releases

Version: 5.1.1.3
Build-ID: 89f508ef3ecebd2cfb8e1def0f0ba9a803b88a6d
CPU-Threats: 8; BS-Version: Windows 6.2; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE)

And additional on

Win 64 - Version 5.2.0.0alpha 0+

I haven´t installed version 5.1.3 , but I will report, if it is solved when I install it.
Comment 8 Heiko Tietze 2016-05-17 08:19:50 UTC
No problem on Windows with 5.2.
Comment 9 Heiko Tietze 2016-06-17 11:58:25 UTC
Guess its not a bug or fixed. But since the OP didn't respond I close as INSUFFICIENTDATA.
