bad highlight color for search results

Reproduce: just do a search in writer in a document which has a TOC.

The search results will be highlighted in light blue. Combine that with the grey background of the TOC and this is close to invisible. It a really frustrating UX and very bad UI design.

I find it even difficult to spot the search results in the document (even though that has a white background).

The easy fix is, to enhance the highlight color.

Besides the easy fix, ideally LO would show a yellow marker to the right side of the document to indicate the places at which search results have been found in the doc (analogue to what chromium or other browsers do to allow for quick search navigation and giving the users a fast overview.

Forgot: it would also be useful to have the count of search results displayed in the search bar. again, similar to what modern browsers do.

Yep

(confirmed on Linux, self-made build, no changes to colour schemes)

Well the TOC shading ( Tools > Options > Appearance) is set to a background color of Gray 3 and if this was changed to Gray 1, the highlight would be more visible.

LibreOffice search highlights text with a blue border and light blue transparent filling, so any text with a dark background will have the same problem. In order for this to work on any possible text foreground and background combination, the foreground and background should be inverted with the highlight.

A live, visible highlight à la Chrome has already been requested in bug 74134.

The current faint selection color is a different issue; see bug 57894 for that.
