Hi guys, New user to libre office, lots of stuff different from Microsoft Office. I entered a mail address in a cell, and it became grey because of automatic recognition. Ok for that, even if i don't want it to be. But i can't then select the cell again with my mouse, because i can only ask for Ctrl+click to open a new mail. I just want to modify the address inside, because it is wrong, not send a mail. I'm forced to select a cell next to it and go with my keyboard. And when i'm in the cell and i try to edit the address and use the suppress key to delete one letter, the whole address is deleted, not just the letter i choose. Same if i want to add a letter in the middle of the address, it's not working. And i can't just select the format and suppress the automatic recognition. Pain in the ... Thanks for the work!
Hello, select the cell and then click on hyperlink button on toolbar
Hi, I tried, but 2 points : - i still can't select the cell with my mouse - when i click on the hyper-link button, every single field there is empty, nothing to change.
Please attach test file, thanks

Hi Pierre, (In reply to Pierre Adrien from comment #0) > New user to libre office, lots of stuff different from Microsoft Office. Good ;) Welcome here! > I entered a mail address in a cell, and it became grey because of automatic > recognition. Ok for that, even if i don't want it to be. Two tips: - Format > Default formatting removes the hyperlink - Tools > Autocorrect options lets you tweak the settings. But this is not a place for user support, honestly. If you have more questions, please try the options listed here: http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/community-support/ But do report bugs you find, of course! Regards, Cor
Good for suppress formating, thank you. Sorry if you think i just needed to ask for customer support. If it were only for the automatic correction, i wouldn't have spent the time to describe a bug. The bugs descriptions are below the part you commented. For me, not being able to select a cell, whatever else, is a bug. The same for not being able to modify a mail address without rewriting it from scratch. Have a nice day!
(In reply to Pierre Adrien from comment #6) > For me, not being able to select a cell, whatever else, is a bug. > The same for not being able to modify a mail address without rewriting it > from scratch. Hit F2, select whole cell contents, click Ctrl+K (Insert Hyperlink) Or Right click, Esc to close context menu, then as mentioned. Or Format > Default formatting.. en then click in the Input line (on top of the sheet..) I tried in your test document (thanks for that!) to make sure that there was nothing unexpected. So I think it's valid that I close as WorksForMe. OK? Kind regards, Cor
It's really hard for me not to be understood. Either i'm not clear enough in what i say or it's something you don't find annoying. They are two points here. First point : You didn't answered about the cell selection (you can't see on my test file because the cell is already selected), you need to select another one then select the mail address again. You have to find the 2 pixel edge to select the cell. Second point : When i select the cell with my keyboard, then F2, then Ctrl+A, then right click then select open hyperlink, nothing happens on my computer, but it should (another bug?). A work around is to do Ctrl+K instead of right click, but only when the mail address is selected. Else i got nothing. It works, but it's really complicated just to add a letter in my mail address. Sorry to open it again, you can close if you want, i won't bother you any more. But i'm still not satisfied. Keep the good work, it's a path is long!
Right-clicking on the cell, shows the righ-click menu but also enter in edit mode. Double-click two times on the address and it is selected. Seems can be a request for enhancement but not a bug, what is not working as design?. Please change the importance from normal to enhancement, explaining in detail, how do you like it must work?
and you can also make the column wider to get space in the cell for a right click. I see a abundance of possibilities :) But of course as suggested: if there is a clear enhancement possible, more then welcome.
