Created attachment 117055 [details] Changed applied to /usr/share/themes/elementary/gtk-2.0/gtkrc For elementaryOS (based on Ubuntu 14.94) I've found that the GtkScrollbar value is preset in /usr/share/themes/elementary/gtk-2.0/gtkrc to 6. GtkScrollbar ::slider-width = 6 The problem is that this value is used for programs such as Libreoffice Calc (Versión: 4.2.8.2, the one available in the repositories) to define the height of the tabs used for the different sheets. Such a small value makes almost impossible to read the name of the tabs. I have manually updated this value to 15 (a reasonable value for my system) to: GtkScrollbar ::slider-width = 15 The way in which the scrollbar height is rendered may be changed to make the text readable. PS: This bug is reported as in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/1471467

I'm notifying the issue, as this is not happening with 4.4.4.3.
