Description Arthur Naiman 2015-07-09 06:29:50 UTC
Like the braindead Microsoft product it replaces, LibreOffice Calc automatically capitalizes the first letter of any text entry. Unlike Excel, however, there's no way to turn that "feature" off...at least that I can find. Is there a way to turn it off, or do I need to go back to Excel?

Thanks.

Menu/Tools/Autocorrect/[Options] - Capitalize first letter of every sentence.

(I guess that in Mac is in the same position in menu)

Thanks for telling me where to fix this. You're right—it's not a bug in the program, but it is a bug in the Help file. I searched for "capitalization" and "automatic capitalization" and got nothing. Now I know to look under "capital letters" and "AutoCorrect function/options" but those both seem like less intuitive phrases.
