Description Jiggle Billy 2015-07-20 03:27:29 UTC
The sidebar contains many duplicate commands that are already in the formatting bar. This duplication is confusing and should be minimised.

Ie , the function Bold, Italic and underline appear in both the sidebar and formatting bar, each icon should only appear in one location onscreen. Having this duplication is confusing.

I 100% disagree with this. Setting to UX as it's their call - I personally hope this is closed as WONTFIX.
Comment 2 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2015-07-20 05:02:16 UTC
No, its not confusing, it allows to user to know that he can configure the LibreOffice UI as he want. And encourages the user to do that.

I agree with Joel, should be closed as WontFix.

Best regards. JBF

If you like, hide one (Sidebar) or hide the other (Toolbar).

At the moment the Sidebar remains monolithic. When individual decks can be broken away, that might be the time to consider direct interaction with corresponding Toolbar. 'til then, Invalid
